Level III DVD!

The basic clinical application for Bioesthetic Dentistry is taught in Comprehensive Bioesthetic Rejuvenation
(Level III).

This “hands on, how to” course trains the dentist to use the knowledge gained in Levels I and II to offer comprehensive diagnosis and treatment to selected patients. Dentists with lab technicians are guided through an actual Bioesthetic Rejuvenation.

When an unbalanced relationship exists between the teeth and jaw joints, it leads to a malocclusion. The muscles must strain to fit the teeth together which causes various degrees of facial deformity. Utilizing Bioesthetic Principles, trained practitioners can establish a “physiologic (healthy) vertical dimension” of the face. This process often results in a dentoskeletal face lift — thus the term “Rejuvenation.”

Notice the difference in facial posture. This patient’s severe open-bite malocclusion
was corrected with
Bioesthetic Dentistry.

The training protocol utilizes an interactive diagnostic and treatment process which is shared with fellow dentist classmates and their laboratory technicians. Thereby, every dentist experiences each case as if it were his or her own. This discipline coordinates and prioritizes all restorative procedures and referral to any other required specialty treatment including orthodontics and orthognathic surgery.

Level III includes interactive laboratory sessions and in-depth discussion and response regarding the theory and philosophy of Bioesthetic Dentistry. In accordance with the Principles of Bioesthetics, stu-dents learn why and how to preserve and/or restore genetic tooth form. They learn how to adjust the teeth to establish complete occlusion contiguous with stable condylar position and how mandibular guidance is influenced by the form and arrangement of the anterior and posterior teeth. Dentists will receive “hands on” instruction in the assembly and use of the Axipath Recorder including Hinge Axis location. They will also learn how to mount maxillary casts on both the Functional Plane of Occlusion and the Esthetic Plane of Occlusion.

Dentists document each step of their rejuvenations with digital photography and mounted intraoral casts. Participants will learn and utilize the Power Point presentation format to show pretreatment and post treatment slides of the patient’s teeth, face, smile, and mounted intraoral casts. Students perform the dentistry in their own offices and learn how to present their case progress at each session for review and guidance by course instructors and class members.

Level III is currently presented in four sessions: one three-day session and three two-day sessions. Level III is a prerequisite for Level IV.
